TRAINING ON THE JOB
The training in Duferco Travi e Profilati is provided on the basis of an annual plan, which is defined for each plant according to internal procedures.
In addition to the mandatory health and safety training, additional courses are planned, which are carried out in e-learning or in presence, within a practical and operational context.
The types of on-the-job training most used by the group are coaching, mixed learning and action learning, all aimed at improving the working techniques and professional development of our employees.
MANAGEMENT 4 STEEL
Duferco is responsible, together with other important companies such as Asonext, Feralpi and Pittini, for the Management 4 Steel project, a high-level training course that allows young talents to acquire some key skills for the steel sector, as well as soft skills of a transversal nature.
The project was born in 2019, and has developed over the years, maintaining a strong network among the participating companies and branching out with other specific courses such as electrical 4 steel and leadership 4 steel.
At the end of each year, Duferco Group takes the opportunity to celebrate with its employees its results and discuss the company’s and its business units’ forecasts and future projects.

THE COMMUNITY AND THE INITIATIVES
One of the Group’s major commitments is to nurture and consolidate the link with local communities, which is based on respect, transparency and accountability.
DTP assiduously cultivates relations with its territories, supporting local associations with contributions and donations.
Duferco Travi e Profilati is a member of the main trade associations both in the sector, such as Federacciai, Fondazione Promozione Acciaio, Confindustria, and other local associations. He has also launched research initiatives with the main locals Universities such as the project Smart Twin LMF 4.0, an electric oven that optimizes efficiency and reduces waste of energy and materials.
