Bloom, billets and dog bones are semi-finished products made in the San Zeno Naviglio plant through a continuous casting process.
They have rounded edges and can have a square section or a rectangular section, with a dimension of 300 × 400 for the rectangular section and one that varies from 160 × 160 mm to 280x280mm for the square section.
They are produced in different brands and qualities of steel (structural steels, boron steels, for cold heading, for drawing wire, special steels for quenching and tempering, carbon steels for flanges and pressure system), with dimensional and shape tolerances according to EN 10031 standard or upon technical specification requested by the customer.
